An e-gift is a physical product that you pick out for your recipient, but instead of immediately shipping your order to them, they are notified via email or text and get to pick the sizing and shipping details before any shipping takes place. A gift card is just a store credit to our site and requires the recipient to place an order to receive goods. Billions of gift card dollars go unspent every year because people forget about them! That’s why we’re happy to provide a service where you can pick out a present, write a personal note, and give your recipients a more personal, delightful experience.

Yes! We offer digital gift cards in various amounts. Your recipient can receive the card via email or text based on your preference. Shop gift cards here.

Recipients see their gifts as part of the digital unwrapping experience. If you’d like to save the surprise, schedule to send your gift notification on the day of the event.

If your recipient’s phone number is a landline, make sure to choose “email” or “link” as your notification method. If you try to send a text to a landline, it will not deliver.

We will automatically send nudges to recipients to encourage gift unwrapping and acceptance. You can also send personal reminders along with resharing their gift links. If a gift goes unredeemed after 60 days, you will be refunded automatically.

Your recipients can opt into tracking. You and your recipients can check package tracking to ensure every present gets safely to its destination.

Each order includes a packing slip of the materials included, but it doesn’t show the price of the gift. This packing slip is also where the gift notes are printed.

We use organic, Fairtrade Certified cotton to make our socks. It’s Vegan Certified and is not treated with herbicides or pesticides.

The paper used in our tags and boxes is made from recycled materials and is recyclable. The inks used are soy-based as well.

We’re currently in the process of reducing all unnecessary packaging and using the most sustainable options when possible.

Our factory is constantly vetted by independent groups and regularly undergoes social and factory audits from recognized groups such as WRAP and SEDEX. They are certified by OEKO-TEX, Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) and Fairtrade International.

Our representatives based in India visit regularly, and our U.S. team visits annually. Our most recent visit was in January 2025.

Our socks are manufactured in India, the largest producer of organic cotton as of 2022.

Our t-shirts and sweatshirts are manufactured in India with locally grown and harvested organic cotton. India is the world’s largest producer of organic cotton as of 2022.

Our candles are handmade in small batches in the U.S. with locally harvested beeswax, coconut oil, and phthalate-free fragrance.

US orders are processed within 1-2 business days and take 3-5 business days for shipping within the continental US. Typically east coast orders will take about 3 days to ship, while west coast orders may take up to 5 days. Hawaii and Alaska take 7-10 days for shipping.

Australia orders shipping from our warehouse in Australia are processed within 1-2 business days. If shipping with Parcel Post, same-state orders take 2-4 business days and interstate orders will take 3-6 business days. Express Post orders also process within 1-2 business days, but same-state orders take 1-2+ business days and interstate takes 1-3+ business days.

International orders are processed within 1-4 business days and take 7-10 days for shipping.

We are unable to redirect your shipment once it has been sent to our warehouse for packing. We can reship your order once it is marked as returned to sender, but will require a reshipment fee based on the original shipping cost. We currently ship globally. Shipping rates are calculated based on order weight and destination.

We recommend washing with cold water and drying on low heat. This helps reduce shrinkage and energy consumption, that’s good for the socks and for the planet!

The ingredients in our socks are always changing to meet the most current regulations set by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) certification. Every style will differ in ingredient percentages depending on the design and when they are made. You can always reference the product page’s “Details & Care” section or the back of our tag packaging for your exact pair’s composition.

Organic cotton is not treated, so laundering on low heat will cause some shrinkage during the first wash. This is normal! After the first wash, they won’t shrink anymore.

Our black string on single-pair packaging does a little more than replace plastic waste. It also makes it easy to open! Instead of cutting it, pull the loose end of the string, and it will release the pair from the packaging easily.

Exchanging your points for great rewards couldn't be easier! Simply visit the Rewards page to view all of our great reward options and click the 'Redeem' button to redeem your chosen reward. Or, when you get to checkout, choose your coupon from the dropdown menu and it will be added to your cart. 

Nope! That’s the best part about being a rewards member! You will always have an opportunity to earn more points by shopping with us and engaging with our brand and community online. However, points do expire after 1 year of inactivity (ex. Not engaging with the program rewards, placing an order, etc.) 

Higher tiers in the VIP tier program earn more points at a quicker rate, but 100 points always = $10 dollars. For Example, as an enthusiast, you will earn 1 point for every dollar you spend. So, if you spend $150, you'll earn 150 points = $15 dollars.When you move up to become an activist, you will be earning points 1.25x as fast, ex. spend $100→ earn 125 points.The world-changers will earn points 1.5x as fast, earning $15 dollars on a $100 purchase.

Your points will expire after one year of inactivity. Inactivity includes not interacting with our program i.e., redeeming points, placing an order, etc.

Yes. If you are returning the entire order, we will refund you the total dollar amount spent after the discount was applied. The points you used to redeem the discount will also be added back into your rewards account.

If you use your rewards towards a purchase and later decide to return that item, your rewards will be credited back to your rewards account. For example, if you use $10 coupon towards a $100 purchase that you decide to return, the $90 balance will be refunded on your credit card and the $10 reward credit will be deposited back into your rewards account.

Double-check you were signed into your rewards account and didn’t accidentally check out as a guest. You must be logged in when making purchases to earn points. If you have done this in error, contact us at hello@consciousstep.com to help apply your points to your account. You also won’t receive points if you return your purchase or your purchase is canceled for any reason. Please note that any points you earn on a purchase you later return will be deducted from your point balance.

On your birthday we will send you a special discount code via email valid for 30 days from the date of your b-day!*Your birthday code is non-transferable and may not be sold or assigned to anyone else. If we feel someone is trying to manipulate the program, we reserve the right to terminate your account at our discretion.
