California sea lions are social, communicative animals with a lot of personality. However, they face a lot of challenges in the ocean. Over the past decade, California sea lions have been experiencing mass strandings and unusual mortality events (UMEs) due to harmful algal blooms and a dramatic shift in the availability of prey. Georgia Aquarium, in partnership with other zoological facilities, helps rescue and rehabilitate stranded pups along the coast of California, and provides a home for sea lions that have been deemed non-releasable by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The sea lions at Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta inspire millions of visitors each year to create personal connections with this lovable species. In turn, and through your purchase of these socks, Georgia Aquarium is able to continue their mission of furthering awareness and conservation of sea lions in the ocean!

I bought these to replace the Hank Green socks that I've worn daily for the past 5 years and worked out in quite intensely that now have holes I got the smallest size and they're still just a smidge too big, but that might be since I'm used to Hank Green's slightly tighter socks. Idk but they are really comfy If it falls apart in a few months, I'll come back and update. If there's no update soon after 9/16, assume that it's held up really well"
