We’re getting our groove on, because this week we’re launching our 19th nonprofit partnership with MusiCares! Music brings so much joy to the world, but as history has shown us, it’s a notoriously difficult industry for those who create it. To keep the music playing, having a safety net of resources for people to fall back on when they need is crucial. And that’s where MusiCares comes in.

Founded by the Recording Academy in 1989 as a U.S. based, independent 501(c)(3) charity, MusiCares safeguards the well-being of all music people through direct financial grant programs, networks of support resources, and tailored crisis relief efforts. MusiCares’ work supports the music community in three key areas:

  • Mental Health & Addiction Recovery Services: Support, referrals, and emergency financial assistance for counseling, psychiatric care, inpatient treatment, coaching, intensive outpatient care, sober living and more.
  • Health Services: Financial assistance during medical crises and preventive services such as dental and medical screenings, hearing clinics, and vocal health workshops.
  • Human Services: Support for basic living expenses like rent, utilities, car payments and insurance premiums in times of hardship, plus programs addressing affordable housing, career development, legal issues and senior services.

And they support all of the people behind the music, including musicians, songwriters, engineers, producers, live crew, tour bus drivers, managers, agents, A&R, makeup artists, costume designers, music video creatives & technicians, and anyone whose livelihood depends on music or makes music happen! That's a pretty groovy crew if you ask us.

As Rihanna once expertly said, “Please don’t stop the music.” With pairs that Support Music, we support their mission to protect the health and welfare of the people behind music, and thus keep the good vibes rocking and rolling. For those about to rock (and those who make the rock possible) we salute you. These pairs are for you!

If you are a music professional in need of support, reach out for help to or 800.687.4227.
